PALYCH / Rise Technologies
Overview
Rise Technologies is a Ukrainian company that develops communications for drones. Its PALYCH suite moves the standard control and video links of commercial drones such as DJI Mavic and Autel from the crowded 2.4 GHz band to alternative frequencies that change dynamically as the jamming environment changes. It consists of an onboard module with an antenna array and a ground station whose antenna unit can be placed more than 20 m from the operator. The company says the link reached 68 km in field tests and that it has upgraded more than 3,000 commercial drones. Rise also makes Nakande, a 160 g digital link that combines control, telemetry and video with AES-256 encryption and held a connection at 118 km in tests, and the Hish analogue video transmitter, which adjusts its power and frequency in flight, contains no Chinese components and is fitted to about 300 platforms.
