Obriy / Kara Dag Technologies

Overview

Kara Dag Technologies was founded in 2023 by Ukrainian IT engineers and makes Obriy (“horizon”), a family of pocket-sized radio-frequency detectors that warn soldiers of approaching FPV and DJI-type drones. The Obriy 1.3C and 1.4C models released in March 2026 widen coverage to roughly 1–6 GHz and can be linked to jammers and unmanned vehicles. Militarnyi reports that the detectors have been tested in combat conditions, and the company says they are mass-produced. It also says it has built one of the most extensive datasets of real-world drone radio signals, and told Defender Media in March 2026 that it had entered a “strategic partnership” with US firm Anduril Industries around that dataset; no terms or confirmation from Anduril were published. US fund Green Flag Ventures invested in 2024.
