MITLA / TENETA Defence

Overview

TENETA Defence is a Ukrainian developer and maker of low-cost counter-drone systems. Its main product, MITLA (Ukrainian for “broom”), is a single-use, hand-held net launcher that gives an infantry soldier a last line of defense against FPV and small reconnaissance drones by throwing a net that tangles the drone’s propellers. Militarnyi reported in July 2025 that MITLA weighs 365 g and fires a 3.5 × 3.5 m net up to 25 m using a 7.62-calibre pyrotechnic cartridge, and that it works in heat and frost. The current MITLA 2.0 sells for UAH 4,400 on the company’s shop, which claims a 95% chance of downing a drone it hits. TENETA says it also develops charges for active-protection systems on vehicles and ground robots, and air-to-air systems.
