Sting / Wild Hornets
Overview
Sting is a small quadcopter interceptor built to hunt Shahed-type attack drones. A pilot flies it over a video link and destroys the target on impact, at a fraction of the cost of a missile. Reuters reported in March 2026 that Sting costs around $2,000 or less and is built at more than 10,000 units a month. Wild Hornets says its crews downed more than 9,000 Russian drones in the first half of 2026, and in September 2026 it reported its first kills of jet-powered drones with a faster new interceptor. Its Hornet Vision Ctrl system lets pilots fly from far behind the front line.
