STRILA / WIY Drones
Overview
WIY Drones is a Ukrainian maker of interceptor, reconnaissance and strike drones. Its flagship, STRILA (“arrow”), is a rocket-shaped electric interceptor that chases Shahed-type attack drones. The company says it carries day and thermal cameras and takes target data from radar and Ukraine’s SkyMap airspace picture. A company representative told Ukrainska Pravda in March 2026 that STRILA is supplied in series under state contracts, that about 100 are built a day and that more than ten Shahed interceptions had been recorded. That month Germany’s Quantum Systems invested in WIY Drones and was tasked with supplying 15,000 STRILA interceptors to Ukraine’s National Guard with German government support. In July 2026 the company showed STRILA-2 LR, a longer-endurance version.
