MaXon System V1 / MaXon Systems
Overview
MaXon Systems is a Ukrainian startup in the Brave1 defense-tech cluster that builds an autonomous system to intercept Shahed-type attack drones. Its current design is a small fixed-wing interceptor launched from the ground. The operator picks a target on a screen and presses start; the company says about 95% of the interception is then automatic, using beacons and onboard sensors, so it can work without GPS. Defender Media reports company figures of a 1 kg warhead, up to 70 minutes of endurance, a 30 km radius and about $3,500 per interceptor. In June 2026 Defence Minister Mykhailo Fedorov said the system had moved from prototype to successful combat use in under a year, and Defender Media reports several Shahed kills in combat trials. Investors include Freedom Fund, Green Flag Ventures (US), Hede Capital (Sweden) and Big Defence (Finland).
