MAUL / AIDronesUA
Overview
AIDronesUA is a Ukrainian company that builds the MAUL, an unmanned ground vehicle for evacuating the wounded, developed together with a military medical unit. Unlike most electric robots, MAUL uses a 4×4 chassis with an internal combustion engine, giving a range of up to 110 km on roads and 100 km off-road, a top speed of 50 km/h on roads and 40 km/h off-road, and a payload of up to 200 kg. It has an armoured casualty capsule, day and infrared cameras, up to 48 hours on standby and five hours of continuous operation, and deploys in up to 10 minutes. The unit using it reported in September 2026 that more than half of its missions were successful. AIDronesUA agreed with Sweden’s NJORD Technology to build 400–500 MAULs a year in Sweden, signed a memorandum on possible investment with US-based Empery Digital, and showed an upgraded MAUL in Canada in September 2026.
