Droid TW 12.7 / DevDroid
Overview
DevDroid builds armed ground robots and the software that controls them. The Droid TW 12.7 is a tracked robot carrying a remotely operated 12.7 mm (.50-calibre) Browning machine gun, driven and fired from a tablet at a safe distance. Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence codified it in December 2024, and a Ukrainian unit commander reported that one robot held an infantry position for a month and a half. Its Droid Box control system, codified in April 2026, links a robot over several channels, including Starlink, LTE and radio, and runs on other manufacturers’ robots too, making the control layer a product in its own right.
