Bahnet / Tenebris

Overview

Tenebris is a Kyiv company, registered in 2023, that builds automated interceptor-drone systems designed to need little operator training. Its Bahnet (“bayonet”, often written Bagnet) hunts Shahed-class attack drones: it takes off automatically, and an optical seeker from French partner Alta Ares steers it into the target in the final phase. The Insider reported in June 2026 a speed of up to 250 km/h, a warhead of up to 1 kg and an altitude of up to 5 km, and listed Bagnet among the interceptors acquired by Ukraine’s defense forces. The company says the system is in active service, with more than 100 confirmed intercepts as of April 2026. In November 2025 Alta Ares and Tenebris presented a jointly developed counter-drone system and said they planned to localise production in France.
