Kestrel / OneDefence
Overview
OneDefence is a Ukrainian developer of the Kestrel, a modular interceptor drone for destroying UAVs, including Shahed-type attack drones. According to the developer it reaches 420 km/h, cruises at 250 km/h, works up to 6,800 m high and has a tactical radius of up to 20 km with about 10 minutes of flight. Its battery pack, wings, camera and warhead module can be swapped just before launch to suit the mission. It carries day and thermal cameras and a terminal guidance system: in the final phase the seeker locks onto the target, and a laser proximity sensor triggers the warhead, so the drone does not need to hit the target directly. Extra control surfaces work together with the motors for sharp turns and stability at high speed. Kestrel has completed field trials, the developer told Defender Media, and is listed on the Brave1 Market at UAH 95,000.
