Overview
Phantom Defense is a Ukrainian company building a layered counter-drone system: radar detection, electronic warfare, command-and-control software and kinetic interceptors. Its flagship interceptor, Blade, takes off vertically and is designed to destroy fixed-wing attack and reconnaissance drones. The company lists a top speed of 310 km/h, a range of 30 km, a 0.5 kg payload, day and thermal cameras and a portable ground station. In October 2026 the company told Militarnyi that Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence had codified Blade, so the armed forces can buy it through the Brave1 Market, and that its long-endurance fixed-wing interceptor Balaban had been codified too. In September 2026 it showed Mangal, a net-firing interceptor module. The company says it employs more than 850 people.
