APUS / Dark River
Overview
Dark River is a Ukrainian developer of the APUS, a catapult-launched fixed-wing interceptor for Shahed-type loitering munitions and reconnaissance drones. According to the company it cruises at 110 km/h, reaches 300 km/h in the attack, has a tactical radius of up to 50 km and stays airborne for up to an hour with a warhead of up to 500 g, at altitudes of up to 4,500 m. It can navigate without GPS, take real-time target coordinates from radars or other surveillance networks, and fly under manual control when needed. A two-person crew can have it ready in under five minutes. If a target is not found or the mission is called off, the aircraft returns to its launch area; self-destruction is an option. The company says the APUS-1 is already in service with 10 military units, and the system is being prepared for codification. It is listed on the Brave1 Market at UAH 140,000.
