UMO-15 and HYDRA / UMO Defence
Overview
UMO Defence is a Ukrainian company set up in late 2025 from the production division of UMO Ukraine as a standalone part of Poland’s UMO Group. In October 2026 it presented four codified fibre-optic strike drones on the Brave1 Market, with 13- and 15-inch frames and 25 or 30 km fibre spools, priced at UAH 115,000–127,000. They cruise at 61–65 km/h, fly for 25–30 minutes and carry 2–2.5 kg; removable landing legs let them sit in ambush in standby mode for up to six hours. The drones work with the company’s UMO HYDRA ground station, which connects up to six fibre-optic drones at once, lets two operators fly two drones simultaneously and switches quickly between aircraft, with safeguards against accidental activation. Because the drones are controlled by cable, radio jamming cannot cut the link.
