Overview

Ptashka Drones (“ptashka” means little bird) is a Ukrainian maker of FPV attack drones, fibre-optic spools and anti-drone net launchers. Its flagship, the Ptashka 17-O, is a 17-inch quadcopter controlled through a thin optical-fibre cable instead of radio, so jammers cannot cut its link. Militarnyi reported in August 2026, based on company footage, that the drones had hit camouflaged armoured vehicles and logistics routes deep behind Russian lines. It reported a 50 km fibre spool, a low-light digital camera, a cruise speed of 85 km/h, a top speed of 110 km/h and about 35 minutes of flight. The company says it is the only codified 17-inch fibre-optic FPV with a 50 km range. Units can obtain it through the Army of Drones Bonus programme and the DOT-Chain Defence marketplace. Ptashka also makes 10-, 13- and 15-inch fibre-optic versions.
